A Compact Self-Injection-Locked Narrow-Linewidth Diode Laser with Narrowband Dielectric Filter

چکیده

The self-injection-locked diode laser can significantly reduce the linewidth down to a sub-100 kHz level but requires optical filtering that is much narrower than cavity linewidth. Such usually sophisticated and beyond capability of normal dielectric coating approach. Here we develop 0.16 nm narrowband using Fabry–Perot filter (HFFPF) for narrow demonstration cost-effective diode. Single-longitude-mode output achieved, with beat ~66 high side mode suppression ratio over 60 dB. This setup mass production thus suitable various applications such as ranging, LIDAR, communication, holographic.

Diode laser with 1 Hz linewidth.

We report an ultranarrow-linewidth laser spectrometer at 657 nm, consisting of a diode laser locked in a single stage to a stable high-finesse reference cavity. The system is characterized by comparison with a second independent system. From beat frequency measurements a linewidth below 1.5 Hz (FWHM) and a fractional instability of less than 2 x 10(-15) for 1 s of averaging time are observed.

Self-starting self-mode-locked femtosecond diode-pumped Cr:LiSAF laser.

We describe a diode-pumped Kerr-lens mode-locked Cr(3+):LiSrAlF(6) laser that produces 50 mW of 70-fs pulses in the 820-890-nm range when pumped by two red diodes of 400 mW each. By using a lower-transmission output coupler we have demonstrated for the first time to our knowledge a self-starting regime with an output power of 10 mW and 55-fs pulses.
